What does hardcore mean to the people who live it? Set within the Dutch hardcore scene, SCENE REPORT #01: LIES! follows hardcore band LIES! and the people around them at a show in Groningen, the Netherlands. Through performances, backstage moments and conversations, the documentary looks beyond the music to explore the dedication, community and DIY spirit that keep hardcore alive. It captures a scene built not only on the bands on stage, but also on the people who show up, support one another and keep the flame burning. An independent documentary about music, belonging and the people who make a scene more than just a sound.
Réalisation
Pan van Duijnhoven is an independent filmmaker from the Netherlands working under the name BOMBER SHOTS. His work is driven by a passion for music, subcultures and the people who bring communities together. With a DIY approach to filmmaking, Pan focuses on capturing authentic moments and stories from within the scenes he documents. His documentary series SCENE REPORT explores underground music culture, starting with the Dutch hardcore scene and the people surrounding it. Through his work, he aims to document the dedication, identity and community that exist beyond the stage, giving a voice and a platform to the people who keep these scenes alive.
