Synopsis

Last Loaf is a short awareness film that combines live-action footage and artificial intelligence to explore population growth and its impact on resources. Through a symbolic visual approach, the film draws a parallel between human and ant behavior in consumption and reproduction, leading to the depletion of resources and the gradual transformation of the scene into an image representing the African continent. The film raises a question about the future of generations to come in a world where needs continue to grow while resources diminish, warning that continued depletion may ultimately lead to the loss of the most basic necessities of life.

Director

Veronica Gorge is an emerging filmmaker with an interest in socially relevant storytelling and innovative cinematic techniques.
