Synopsis

Hui Xin is used to recording her daily life on her phone to hide her loneliness. Along the way, she only has one close friend, Xiao Xin. A group project gave Hui Xin a chance to meet her previous teammate, Ke Wen, again. They agreed to meet at Hui Xin's house to discuss the project. However, Hui Xin’s insecurity and her habit of hiding behind the camera whenever something happens led to a misunderstanding with Ke Wen. In the end, with Xiao Xin’s encouragement and guidance, Hui Xin mustered up the courage to clear up the misunderstanding with Ke Wen, and they became friends.

Director

Tan Ee Shern is a young visual creator studying at the Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) at UTAR. Thanks to their industry experience in professional post-production and DaVinci Resolve color grading at Iceberg POST, their work is not only focused on the psychological depth of the narrative but also demonstrates strong visual control. Their creations are heavily inspired by modern Asian cinema and visual literature (like 'Goodbye, Eri'), and they excel at exploring modern human struggles, the loneliness of the digital age, and the reshaping of interpersonal bonds through shifts between subjective and objective perspectives and striking color aesthetics.
