In a neighborhood laundromat, Jia finds a notebook filled with strangers’ stories. As she writes about her own mishap, people from its pages seem to appear before her. For a brief moment, their different languages and private worries meet in a playful space between reality and imagination.
About the film
In a neighborhood laundromat, an old notebook gathers complaints, tips, drawings, and diary entries from strangers who never meet. Jia, a college student, arrives after an accident, carrying a parrot plush toy stained with whiskey. When she writes about her day, the laundromat quietly begins to change. People with different languages and private worries drift in, and their stories briefly connect through the notebook. After the machines stop and the room empties, Jia draws a parrot cartoon. Then Jeong-sik opens a washer, feathers scatter through the air, and Jia laughs as if the drawing has slipped into reality.
