All of my friends watch these shows and from the clips I’ve seen they look really funny. I will be turning 13 in November and my parents wont let me watch either of them. I am a strong Christian who is firm in my faith and I understand that TV and real life are different things. If you were my parents would you let me watch them? And what is something I could do or say to make them see my debate?
to be honest (this is coming from an adult), "mature" people dont enjoy these shows (and i dont believe in such a thing as a mature 13 year old, just well mannered ones). you have to have a sense of immaturity to enjoy them.
im glad that you understand the difference between real life and tv, maybe thats something you can bring up to them when discussing it, but in the end it is their decision.
=edit= i absolutely love these shows, but to be honest, i think if you are a very religious person, youre not likely to enjoy them anyways because alot of religious people find the content very offensive. at 13, i think you seem to at least have a grasp on whats tv and whats real life, but like i said, you may find it offensive and might not even understand alot of it until you’re older. my 10 year old nephew tries to watch these shows when his parents are not looking and he doesnt understand half of it, he only laughs because he knows its something that is "supposed" to be funny.
