I am wondering this because i really want to see this tv show that is on and i won’t be able to see it because i will be at work and i was wondering how to record tv shows when you have a set top box and i am not sure what to do. Can someone please help me.

If the box has SVGA or audio-video jacks, you can connect them to a VCR. The box has to be set to the correct channel because the VCR can’t change channels on the box.

I bought a Macbook Pro recently, and was curious about how to have my tv shows appear on my iTunes. I’m trying to do so without having to take them off my old Macbook, put them on an external drive, and then onto the new Macbook. For some reason, I thought iTunes would recognize purchased material? I have set up my iTunes on my new Macbook, but all of my purchased material is not showing up. Any suggestions?

I have a vcr dvd combo player and i record my tv shows i miss. Since my dvd player has a dvd-rw feature, could i record my tv shows through my dvd player if my vcr were to go out?

Only if your DVD player is a DVD recorder. If DVD-RW is listed as a feature, it could only mean that it plays DVD-RW discs. If it doesn’t specify being a recorder on the front or in the manual, it isn’t a recorder.

If it doesn’t have a digital tuner, your TV will have to be tuned to the channel you are recording.
